A Buy Category B1 Driver's License permits you to drive a vehicle that has a maximum allowed mass (MAM) that is more than 3,500kg. You can also use a trailer weighing up to 750kg.


These vehicles offer significant economic and environmental advantages. They are also more efficient in fuel usage and economical than standard cars.

Validity time

The period of validity for a B1 license is two-years however, this could be diminished if you have certain health issues that affect your ability to drive safely. You can also get higher categories added to your license by passing a test for the category you'd like drive. For instance, you could obtain a category C1 licence by passing a test for medium-sized trucks.
